A colour sketch in preparation for the final, larger piece.
I hadn’t been out walking for quite some time when Jess suggested I accompany her on her morning walk. ‘The Line’ in Ystradgynlais is a track that runs the length of the old railway line. It’s popular with cyclists, and dog walkers take advantage of the many routes that wind in and out of the wooded hillside. The morning light shining on the fresh spring foliage inspired me and reminded me that even on short walks I can find inspiration for paintings.
